Appearance

Vera is described as a medium-height orc with long black hair with braids, green eyes, and a small toothy underbite with round facial features. She is commonly seen wearing long dresses and fur capes adorned with heraldry from Sankofa.

Backstory

The Perks of Being a Siren

Vera Blackmoore was a noble-born sorceress raised on the island of Sankofa. Vera studied to become an arcane psychotherapist and shamanistic healer under a satellite school of the Siren Order. She was an incredibly shy, reserved, book-smart girl without a single friend on the island until she met Barbatos and Aileen. It was thanks to them that Vera could come out of her shell and feel a sense of belonging, outside of the books and artistry she often submerged herself in. Vera was the original recipient of Craig's call for heroes, but passed on it, resulting in Barbatos to take her place. While Vera held some resentment over Barbatos leaving, she exchanged weekly letters with him which bordered on romantic. When Barbatos's letters stopped arriving, Vera realized something was wrong. When she discovered Barbatos had died, she was heartbroken. When Aileen died, she became reclusive and sunk into a deep depression where she refused to eat or bathe. It was with the help of Barbatos and Aileen's mentor, Surkesh that Vera coped with the loss of her best friends, and reopened her clinic where she continues to treat patients on behalf of the Siren Order.
